The Memorandum of Understanding reaffirms the long-standing partnership between Uganda and India, and builds on the previous partnership that we have built with the Indian Business Community now. The Memorandum will leverage each other’s comparative advantage to share experiences and expertise between PSFU and FICCI mainly through Private – Private Partnerships; and establish regional trade, promote trade exchange and investment between India and Uganda with the purpose to deepen existing economic relations.

Prior to signing the Memorandum, Hon. Dr. Elly Karuhanga and Director, Deepti Pant exchanged views on the importance of working closely together to identify possible areas of common interest, within the framework of trade exchange, exports development and investment promotion.

The MoU is intended to enhance economic relations and propose to the respective governments, measures and mechanisms to promote exports on the basis of mutual interests to avoid any imbalances which may affect the relationships between Uganda and India.
